Get a Quote
Tell us about your part – material, quantity, finish and any special requirements. We reply with a DFM review and quote within one business day.
What to include in your request
A complete request gets a usable price on the first pass. Missing information is the main reason a quote comes back with questions instead of a number. Six things we need:
- Drawings or a 3D model — STEP or IGES preferred; a dimensioned 2D PDF works if that is all you have.
- Material and condition — grade, temper, and whether the material is free-issue or supplied by us.
- Quantity — including how many you expect per release if this is a first article.
- Tolerances that actually matter — call out the critical dimensions rather than applying a blanket tolerance to the whole part.
- Finish and post-processing — anodising, passivation, bead blasting, plating, laser marking, or none.
- What the part has to survive — load, temperature, exposure or a regulatory standard. This is what decides the process route.
How we handle your enquiry
- We read the drawing before we price it. Every request gets a manufacturability check — feature accessibility, wall thickness, tool reach, and any tolerance that will drive cost.
- The review and the price arrive together. If a feature is expensive to machine, we say which one it is and what changing it would save, rather than sending a number with no comment.
- One business day. Every request gets a reply within one business day. We work from Shenzhen (GMT+8), so the clock starts when our working day does.
- Production starts on your written approval. Nothing goes to the floor on a verbal go-ahead.
Files we accept
STEP (.step, .stp), IGES (.igs, .iges), Parasolid (.x_t, .x_b), SolidWorks part and assembly files, DXF/DWG for 2D profiles, and PDF for dimensioned drawings. If a file is too large for email, ask for an upload link.
Confidential work: tell us before you send and we will put a mutual NDA in place first.
Questions we get before a first order
Can you work from a 2D drawing only?
Yes, provided the drawing is fully dimensioned and states the tolerance block. If a 3D model exists we would rather have it — it removes ambiguity on curved surfaces and on features that only appear on one view.
Do you take prototype quantities?
Yes. Prototype and low-volume runs are a normal part of what we quote. Per-piece price reflects setup, so a single part will not price like a production run — that is arithmetic, not a penalty.
Will the quote include material certification?
Say so in the request if you need mill certificates or a certificate of conformance. They are quoted as a separate line rather than assumed, because not every order needs them and we would rather not price in paperwork you will not use.
What happens to tolerances I have not specified?
We machine to a general tolerance and state it on the quote. If a dimension is critical, mark it. A blanket tight tolerance across an entire part is the most common reason a quote comes back higher than a buyer expected.
What if the design cannot be machined as drawn?
That is what the DFM review is for. We come back with the specific feature, why it is a problem, and the nearest alternative that still meets the function — not a refusal.
